Glasgow Lay Dominicans                          ACTING DOMINICAN

Some members at a meal

Our group was assembled in the mid 1980s with the encouragement and support of Fr Bob Eccles OP who was at that time Roman Catholic Chaplain  at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. With his help we began to take responsibility for our formation as Dominicans.

We began to pray and to study together, and in doing so we got to know each other and what it meant to be Dominican. Eventually we began to look at where we were and ask ourselves 'what could we do as a lay group to make the Gospel known and better known?'
