|
Community is important in Dominican life. Communication is a central activity for all members of the Dominican Family, with God and with other people inside and outside the Order, and inside and outside the Christian community. |
communication | The Lay Dominicans, as lay women and men, share various aspects of their lives with a whole variety of people including family, colleagues and friends. As individuals and as a group they share too in Dominican life, particularly with the Dominican friars in Glasgow. |
|
Glasgow Lay Dominicans has its own community life. Some members work together outside of the group. They meet together socially and for worship. They are in touch in group meetings, group study and by letter, telephone and e-mail. |
community |
Lay Dominicans meet in their own homes, in Blackfriars, the Dominican priory, or at the Chaplaincy of the University of Strathclyde in John Street in the centre of Glasgow. They meet for study, prayer, the active work of the group and for their own interests and projects. |

Sunday Mass is celebrated in the Chapel of Strathclyde University Chaplaincy at 11am. Many of the Lay Dominicans go there regularly to worship as a community. It offers an opportunity for anyone interested in Dominican life to meet with like minded people.
